Outdoor Learning Environments

We help programs transform outdoor spaces into meaningful places for children to play, learn, explore, and connect with nature. Our approach brings together design, professional development, and community engagement to create outdoor learning environments that are thoughtfully designed, intentionally used, and cared for over time. Like children, these spaces are meant to grow, change, and evolve. We work alongside educators, caregivers, families, and community partners to build the knowledge, practices, and shared ownership needed to nurture these environments for years to come.

Wherever you are in the process, we can help. Our three levels of support—Explore, Plan, and Transform—offer options ranging from consultation and guidance to visioning and action planning to full-service support for creating and sustaining a natural outdoor learning environment.
