Douglas/Sarpy 4-H Staff Guidance

4-H staff provides guidance and resources to club leaders. Here's a look at Douglas/SarpyCounty 4-H staff and their areas of responsibilities. E-mail contact links are below, or to reach them by phone please call 444-7804.

Carol McNulty manages all non-animal project areas. Her 4-H responsibilities include:
  o Home Environment
o Celebrate Art
o GPS (Global Positioning Systems)
o Presentation/Demonstration Contest (partnered with Dodge County)

Monte Stauffer
manages the 4-H livestock project areas. His 4-H responsibilities include:
  o Horse Show
o Cattle Show
o Swine Show
o Sheep Show
o Sheep Lead Line
o Bucket Calf Show
o Goat Show
o Tractor Driving Contest
o Shooting Sports
o Range Weed & Crop
o Equines Unlimited (4-H “Horse-less” Horse Club)

Mark Simmons oversees the urban extension program. His 4‐H responsibilities include:
  o Record Books
o Nebraska State Diamond Clover Program
o Club of Excellence Program
o 4‐H Awards Night

John Kilpartick manages the 4-H home school enrichment program. His other 4-H responsibilities include:
  o Photography
o Wood Working
o Cat Show
o Rabbit Show
o Poultry Show
o Conservation/Wildlife
o Forestry
o Entomology
o Science and Technology (including rocketry and electricity)
o Rocket Launch Contest

Carol Fritz manages the 4-H Clover Kids project. Her other 4-H responsibilities include:
  o Foods Program
o Quilting
o Food Preservation
o FCS contest (On-line Family and Consumer Science Contest)
o Table Toppers Contest
o Speech Contest
o Dog Show
o Stuffed Animal Contest (for Clover Kids during the fair)

Marci Carroll manages the 4-H school enrichment program. Her other 4-H responsibilities include:
  o Dog Show
o Small Pet Show
o Speech Contest
o Citizenship/Community Service
o Banners/Posters
o Theater Arts
o Child Development
o Business Sense
o You Design it
o 4-H College and Camp Scholarship questions
o Ordering manuals/ Curriculum Questions
o Embryology sign up questions

Cathy Raneri manages the 4-H after-school program, and
oversees the club program. Her other 4-H responsibilities include:
  o Clothing projects
o Fiber Arts (Knitting, Crocheting)
o Fashion Show/Style Review
o "Learn by Doing Kits" (educational kits with activities to do during club
meetings, a variety of kits can be checked out from Cathy for week-long
increments)

Michele Meyer manages the 4-H Offutt After School
program and 4-H military program.

Mary Dierks provides support to all 4-H areas
including the 4-H enrollment questions.

Vernon Waldren is the staff contact person for 4-H
council and the 4-H mascot "lil' Green."

John Fech is the staff contact person for the 4-H
horticulture area.

Rachel Wright is the staff contact person for the Insider and
website.
